Additional details: With a lot of Capitol events and general lobbying business accomplished on the golf course, it is critical that women not be excluded.
“If you learn the rules, etiquette, and manage pace of play you can play with anyone. If you don’t learn those things, you give people a way to exclude you, which is a huge barrier in our profession.” Says Allison Barnett, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for HealthNet.
This is why Capitol Network is partnering with lobbyist John Wenger, a former collegiate golfer, and his swing coach Don Levin to provide an affordable opportunity to gain high-level instruction.
“Don has been an incredible coach my entire life, and I think he can be a tremendous asset to the women around the Capitol. Don knows how to break down the golf swing in the simplest of terms and makes the game really easy. I’m really excited to get started and create an avenue for more women to get involved in the great game of golf”. Says John Wenger, Legislative Advocate for Sloat Higgins Jensen & Associates.
Don Levin is a former PGA Tour player, and father/coach to Spencer Levin, a 9-year PGA Tour player who is currently competing on the Korn Ferry Tour.
