Officers President: Margo Parks Margo Parks joined the Boehringer-Ingelheim team in August 2021 as Senior Associate Director, State Government Affairs. Drawing on her experience advocating for both a trade association and a contract lobby firm, Margo navigates policy and politics to help achieve the organization’s goals in the legislatures across multiple states. Prior to joining Boehringer-Ingelheim, Margo was a lobbyist at Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA) where she worked on a range of policy issues impacting the oil and gas industry. Prior to working at WSPA, Margo worked at Political Solutions, has been employed by the California Cattlemen’s Association, and is an alumnus of the California Senate Fellows program. Margo graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Scripps College, Claremont, Calif. Immediate President: Amber King Amber King serves as the Vice President, Legislative Affairs for LeadingAge California representing non-profit providers of care, services and housing for older adults. Prior to joining LeadingAge California in 2022, she served as the Vice President of Advocacy and Membership for the Association of California Health Care Districts, where she lead their Advocacy Team. Amber received her degree from California State University, Sacramento where she majored in Government. Amber also served as Chair of the Charitable Giving Committee for the Capitol Network for several years before serving as Vice President. Vice President: Madison Dwelley Pigozzo
Madison Nagle Frizzi is the Principal at Nagle Frizzi Public Affairs, where she specializes in coalition building and management, strategic communications, grassroots activation, and media relations. She has nearly a decade of experience working on legislative, ballot measure and issue campaigns across California. Madison graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Politics and a secondary major in Ethics, History and Public Policy. Sarah graduated with honors and distinction from California State University, Chico where she majored in Political Science with a minor in International Relations and Ethics, Justice and Policy. She is currently a Juris Doctorate candidate at McGeorge School of Law.
Yarelie Magallon
Prior to joining Political Solutions, Yarelie served as an intern for Congressman Salud Carbajal, where she oversaw constituent affairs. In addition, Yarelie also created social media content and managed fundraising campaigns for Summer Search, a non-profit focusing on education success in low-income communities. Yarelie received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Dawn Koepke Dawn Koepke is a partner at McHugh Koepke Padron Government Relations in Sacramento, handling the legislative, regulatory, budget and research needs of the firm’s clients and lobbies in the policy areas of health and human services, resources, environmental safety, chemical management, and adult education. Prior to joining the McHugh team in 2003, Dawn served as a member of the Davis Administration. In her capacity as Special Assistant to Governor Davis, she helped manage the Governor’s daily activities, assist the Legislative Affairs team, coordinate and prepare responses regarding major policy and legislative action on behalf of the Administration in response to public inquiry. Dawn graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and has a Master’s Degree in Public Policy & Administration (MPPA) from California State University, Sacramento. |
